I make bracelets. Every one is different.
Real beads, picked one at a time, on a stretchy cord. Smiley stars, pumpkins, evil eyes, and letter beads that spell your name.

Bracelets I made this week
I got my own website
Dad helped me put my bracelets on the internet. I wrote the name at the top with a marker. It says Arthur Makes.
Read my journeyI pick the beads myself
First I choose the colors. Then I put them on the cord one by one. Mom helps me tie the knot.

Every bracelet is handmade by Arthur, so the beads are never in quite the same order twice. Orders are handled by his parents.

How I make a bracelet
In Arthur's words. Written down by Dad.
Pick the beads
I look at all the beads and pick the ones I like. I like the smiley stars best.
Spell the name
I find the letters. A, R, T, H, U, R. I put them in the right order.
Put them on the cord
One bead at a time. If one falls off I start that part again.
Tie the knot
Mom helps me tie it so it doesn't come apart. Then I cut the extra cord.

Want one with your name?
Tell me the name and your three favorite colors. I will find the letters and make it.

Short stories about what Arthur tried, what happened, and what he learned. Newest first.

I named my business
We wrote down everybody's name in the family. Then I wrote Arthur Makes. That is the name.
My first bracelet that spells my name
I made one with pumpkins and eyes and my name. I made a big one too with smiley stars.

About
Arthur is five and a half and lives in Texas. He designs and makes every bracelet on this site. His parents run the shop: they answer messages, take payment, and ship.
This is his first business. The site is also where we keep his milestones, so he can look back later and see how he grew.
Where the money goes
A part buys new beads and cord. A part goes into Arthur's savings. A part goes to a cause he picks each season.
